Arthritis Pain Causes in the Fingers of Young People
There's an interesting article in the 8/29/09 edition of the Manchester England Evening News.
The story centers on Kerrie Dawson, who is just 22 years old but has been suffering from crippling arthritis
pain in her fingers and other joints. The arthritis started in her hands but is now so severe in other parts of her
body that she finds it difficult to walk.
According to the article, arthritis causes pain in more than 25,000 people in the UK under the age of 25. It's
obviously not just a disease that happens to those who are middle aged or older.
Kerrie says it started so suddenly that she thought she had broken several of her fingers. She says she was
shocked to learn the pain in her fingers was caused by arthritis. She has also been diagnosed with anemia,
which is a common side effect of arthritis. She suffers bouts of dizziness that are so bad she's afraid to leave
the house.
